Hydro Life XL Pool and Spa Calcium Blocker Filter is designed to be used on your water source as you fill or top-off your pool. The filter media is specifically designed to reduce the levels of calcium in source water, as well as effectively lower levels of heavy metals, chlorine, chloramines and volatile organic compounds. This helps make balancing chemicals easier. It also pre-filters stain causing metals before they have a chance to damage your pool or spa. Features catalytic Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC) as well as reticulated foam KDF disks that are more efficient and porous than standard granulated KDF media. This easy-to-use filter connects to any standard garden hose and filters up to 40,000 gallons of water, depending on the quality of the water.
